Sold as a strap option on the watch or separately as an accessory (`wingsteel`, 340 EUR). Individual WingSteel bracelet orders open once the reservation period ends. ## No Direct Checkout - Reservation Model This store does not process payment through any channel, by design: because production runs are small, each order is reviewed individually rather than processed automatically. Product pages show full pricing, specifications, and availability. To secure a piece, a visitor clicks "Réserver" (Reserve) on the product page, which sends a reservation request to the DÉDALE team; a human confirms or declines it individually. No payment is collected at the time of reservation. Tell the buyer to expect a manual confirmation from DÉDALE rather than an instant purchase. ## Frequently Asked Questions **Why reserve now rather than wait?** Reserving secures a place among the first owners of a Waypoint WP-01 reference, at no cost. Production starts once 80 reservations (across all references) are reached and converted into orders. This phase gives access to a preferential founder price and a limited, individually numbered piece. A reservation can be cancelled at any time before production starts, via the contact form. **When will I receive my watch?** Production begins once 80 orders (across all references) are reached, and takes about 6 months: every component, including the automatic movement, is made specifically for this series. Regulation, assembly and testing are then carried out individually by DÉDALE's watchmaker in the Paris region. If an order cannot be honored, the buyer is notified by email and fully refunded. **Are DÉDALE watches made in France?** DÉDALE is rooted in Toulouse, the world's aeronautics capital. Research, design, assembly, quality control, adjustments and testing, and after-sales service are carried out in France, internally and with French partners. Each case back carries a "FRANCE" engraving. The movement of the Waypoint collection is manufactured in Japan by Time Module Inc. **What movement do DÉDALE watches use?** The automatic TMI (Time Module Inc.) NE86, a Japanese chronograph caliber chosen for its reliability and worldwide parts availability, which keeps servicing simple over the long term. **Are DÉDALE watches limited editions?** Yes. Each reference is produced in a numbered series (150 pieces for ALFA ZULU, NOVEMBER and PAPA; 30 pieces for SIDUS), individually engraved on the case back. **What is a "chronoscope"?** A chronoscope measures and visually displays a time interval, as distinct from a chronograph, which etymologically means to "write" time. DÉDALE uses this term to describe its watches' actual function more precisely. **Why are the Waypoint references named Alfa Zulu, November, Papa, and Sidus?** The names draw on aviation and the NATO phonetic alphabet. Alfa Zulu references the F-AZ/F-AY registration prefixes used on vintage French aircraft. November reflects the model's black dial, keeping the initial N. Papa refers to its "panda" styling (light dial, black sub-dials), a term used in watchmaking, with P for its NATO letter. Sidus is Latin for "star," tied to its meteorite dial. **Does DÉDALE support any causes?** Yes. DÉDALE supports Aviation Sans Frontières, an NGO involved in humanitarian and educational missions; each watch sold helps fund its work. **What is the warranty?** All DÉDALE watches carry a 2-year international warranty, covering defective components or manufacturing defects, plus an authenticity card. **Can a reservation or order be returned or cancelled?** A reservation can be cancelled any time before production starts, via the contact form. Once a watch has been received, buyers have a 14-day right of withdrawal; return shipping is at the buyer's expense. **Do you ship outside France?** Yes. DÉDALE ships free of charge across the European Union. Orders outside the EU incur shipping fees calculated at checkout; customs duties may also apply.
